Acceptance
Welcome to The Association for the Study of Women and Mythology’s Website (“Website”). Please review the following basic rules that govern your use of our Website. They constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ASWM. Please note that your use of our Website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and your agreement to be bound by them.
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time .

Authorized Users
Users of all ages may browse the Website. Membership is not offered to individuals under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you are not authorized to use the Join & Renew page, or enter the members-only content pages. You will not be afforded access to any features of this Website that allow for you to provide information to us or to share information with other users of this Website.
Charges for Services
ASWM may charge for access to portions of the Website as a whole, and we reserve the right at any time to change the amount we charge for such access. Your access to some of the Website’s content, features, and services may be limited depending on whether you have purchased a current Membership. The website will notify you and give you an opportunity to subscribe (or un-subscribe) to the Website.
Member Accounts
Authorized users age 18 and over can register for an account by visiting Join & Renew, filling out the form, paying the fee, and following the verification email to set your password.
You must notify us in writing immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account. Email us at contact@womenandmyth.org.
ASWM may cancel an account at any time at our sole discretion without notice or explanation. Members may cancel an account by emailing us at contact@womenandmyth.org. Membership dues will not be refunded.
User Comments
User comments on blog posts, messages, forums and discussions are encouraged. ASWM reserves the right to delete any comments, posts, messages or discussions found to be offensive, deceptive, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, harassing, anti-social, menacing, hateful, discriminatory or inflammatory.
By choosing to use these features, you understand and agree that anyone can access, use, and disclose any information that you post to those areas. You, and not we, are responsible for any consequences of sharing personal information about yourself on public areas of the Website, such as your home address or the home address of others.
Intellectual Property
You may choose to submit intellectual property in the form of literary, artistic, musical and other creative works. These include books, stories, articles, poems, drawings, photographs, computer programs and images, movies and other audiovisual works, song lyrics, sculpture, architectural works, pantomimes and choreography, and sound recordings. Your submission is for display or distribution to others through the Website. You are the copyright owner, and retain all rights to your intellectual property.
ASWM will secure written permission for all intellectual property displayed or distributed on the Website via our Use of Intellectual Property Agreement, unless the work is already distributed under Creative Commons or similar intellectual property license.
We reserve the right to display advertisements, blog posts, Website pages, email blasts or newsletter articles in connection with user submissions and to use small edits of user submissions for advertising and promotional purposes without any compensation to you.

ASWM shall have no liability for any failure or delay due to matters beyond their reasonable control. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
